Honey, nectar of the gods

History
Honey, a natural sugar alternative, organic and also known “ Nectar of the Gods“ , has been used for thousands of years for medicinal purposes as well as a popular food and sweetener. Throughout history many uses of this golden liquid have been recorded. Priests used honey in cakes for various religious ceremonies.
Alexander The Great was embalmed with honey. The use of honey is recorded as early as the first writings appeared , with Babylonian . Sumerian, Egyptian and Indian cultures documenting usage for various purposes.
The Koran and the Bible also make reference to honey in their writings .
Honey was even used as a currency in Germany in the 11th century by peasants to pay their feudal landlords.
Hippocrates and Aristotle both promoted honey in their disciplines realizing it to be useful in the curing of various ailments

Benefits
Many cures for ailments and healing powers are well known and have been handed down through word of mouth and folklore. Honey and lemon juice is well known for its effects in soothing sore throats.

Most bacteria cannot exist or breed in natural honey so it has been used extensively in treating wounds due to its excellent anti-bacterial properties. Honey is approximately 19% water although this may vary. It can keep indefinitely if stored correctly. Honey was found in the Pyramids of Egypt and was still edible after thousands of years and used widely for food and natural healing  purposes along with herbs.

Honey is a great energy booster, immunity system builder and a natural remedy for some ailments. It may also be a better sweetener (in moderate doses) for diabetics than refined sugars.

Honey Bees
The production of honey is conducted amongst other chores by the busy little honey bee one of natures success stories. These hard working insects will continue their working life until they drop although the amount of honey produced by each bee is a small amount probably around a 10% of a teaspoon, however collectively they produce vast amounts.
 
 Future of honey and natural products
Another duty of the bee fraternity is the cross pollination of various plant species such as legumes, fruits, vegetables and other food producing plants.

This natural  process may be under threat by no other than the ones who benefit most from these creatures labor, mankind itself. Pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals.

The quest for the domination and control of the worlds food sources by greedy corporations who want to enslave the worlds population into higher and higher food prices by interfering with nature are indirectly starting to deplete the bee population worldwide.

Genetically modified foods may put these little guys out of a job as well as possible genetically modified people with who knows what future health problems.

Codex alementus must be resisted at every level it has been hijacked by the large drug and food corporations to further their hidden agenda to totally dominate the food supply and to attempt to put natural and herbal foods on the pharmaceutical list. Meaning , rip off prices for what nature intended to be free and abundant for every one.

The freedom to choose what methods of healing we use must never be interfered with by greed. The right to eat healthy and natural foods without any interference is an inherent right to all individuals.
